Yukari contributed to this book which marries the the phenomenon of Larry Smith's successful Six-Word Memoirs with ABC and 20th Century Fox Television's hit comedy Fresh Off the Boat. The book captures hundreds of takes on the immigration experience, from every-day people to writers like Kane to world-famous celebrities such as Aziz Ansari, Julianne Moore, Mario Batali, George Takei and Junot Díaz.

Yukari’s essay “Outsider Again” was selected for inclusion in the 2017 edition of this annually-published travel anthology. Her essay was about the cultural shock she experienced during a ski trip she took in her home country of Japan, just a year after her kidney transplant surgery.
